David Wong Nan Fay is a business graduate (Honours) from Canada. He has more than 35 years of track record and experience in the Information Technology , eCommerce and Logistic Industry.
David Wong is currently the Chairman of ASOCIO , the Asian Oceanian Computing Industry Organization and the Advisor and Past Chairman of PIKOM, the National ICT Association of Malaysia . ASOCIO was established in Tokyo , Japan in 1984 and is the most time-honored and active international ICT Trade organization in Asia Oceania region. It has 24 active economies with more than 10,000 ICT companies representing comprising 24 economies and represents approximately USD500 Billion of ICT revenue in the region . David Wong is also the Co-founder and Emeritus Chairman of Outsourcing Malaysia (OM), an initiative of PIKOM and a consortium representative of the outsourcing industry.
In 2000, he founded and embarked on his new start up, SnT Global Sdn Bhd, where he currently resides as the Executive Chairman. SnT’s core businesses are Lead Logistics Management, Warehousing, Cross Border Freight and Omnichannel Fulfilment services. Other ventures include eCommerce , Retail and Education.
Under his guidance, SnT has won several major industry awards, and is widely regarded as a pioneer in the field of supply chain outsourcing in Asia. SnT was recognized as a leading technology company in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific Program and by Global Services Awards as one of the top 100 most innovative outsourcing companies in the world as well as top 10 to watch in Asia. In 2016 , David was accorded the Outsourcing Leader of the Year by Outsourcing Malaysia as well as the CEO Excellence Award by Malaysia Retail Chain Association ( MRCA) in 2018. He also won the the prestigious Brandlaureate’s Brand Icon of the Decade in 2019 .
He had spoken and participated in many local and International conferences including World Congress of IT ,ASOCIO Digital Summit , Smart City summits and others . He was formerly board member of MDEC , HRDF , WCIT 2008 and Yayasan Innovasi Malaysia . He is currently Advisor to PIKOM and EXCO of Malaysian Australia Business Council (MABC) .
