Biography
I graduated from Korea University in 1999, with a degree in Chinese language and literature and earned a master’s degree in international relations from University of California, San Diego in the US in 2010. I started my career at Ministry of Information and Communications of Korea in 2002 and have worked for Korea Communications Commission(2008), Ministry of ICT and Future Planning(2013), and Ministry of Science and ICT(2017 ~2018). Currently, I work for Korean Embassy in Vietnam in charge of promoting bilateral cooperation in the field of Science, ICT and Climate Change. I have mostly worked in ICT field and involved in formulating ICT policies including broadcasting and telecom convergence, SW industry promotion, informatization, etc.

Abstract
The Korean government has been pursuing a digital transformation policy named I-Korea 4.0. National response of the Korean government to IR 4.0 encompasses 3 pillars including science and technology, industry and economy, society and system. Among them, Korea is focusing on developing and applying data, network, and AI because they are the DNA of IR 4.0. Korea launched 5G commercialization service for the first time in the world and has invested considerable amount of budget in the utilization of Big data and AI. Korea also selected 8 leading projects and tries to enhance productivity of related industries.
